About me

I know the reality of balancing ambition, responsibility and family life. I am a mother of two, and for many years I combined senior leadership in a multinational law firm with the everyday demands of life. Some days everything aligned; other days it felt stretched and imperfect. That experience shaped me. It taught me resilience, perspective, humour and the importance of staying grounded — even when the pace is relentless.

After more than two decades working in a law firm, including 12 years as a partner and department head, I decided to pivot into coaching and mediation. It wasn’t a retreat from leadership; it was an intentional extension of it. I needed a new challenge and direction; one that drew on my greatest strengths and focused on what brings me the most joy.

I had run and grown a multi-million-pound business unit, overseen the integration of teams across two mergers and guided team members through career decisions. I had routinely advised boards and senior leadership teams of large, complex organisations on strategic and reputational risk. What had consistently set me apart was not simply technical expertise. It was thoughtfulness and remaining calm under pressure. The ability to remain steady, to ask the question others were avoiding, to support and challenge in equal measure. I was described as a fighter when it mattered, a role model to others coming through, someone who pushed boundaries while bringing people with me.

This is why I setup Danni DB Coaching and it’s why I help female leaders find the best in themselves.

Throughout my career, I experienced first-hand the weight of visibility, responsibility and unspoken expectations — particularly for women in leadership roles. I saw how rarely capable leaders are given space to think without performance, judgment or interruption.

Today, as an executive coach, conflict coach and mediator, I bring both professional depth and lived experience to creating that space.

Danni is a very skilful coach. I dug deep in her sessions and, for the first time, truly reflected on myself, and what I wanted. After her sessions, I feel more confident and ready to progress.
